	Field research team meets in Athens GA to coordinate sampling efforts for 2006.
	Presentation by Chris Craft at the GCE LTER annual meeting in Athens, GA.

Spring 2006

	Presentation by Steve Pennings at a symposium on climate change and sea level rise in College Station, TX.
	Submit year 1 annual report to EPA.
	Refinement of SLAMM for river-dominated estuaries.
	Field sampling and collection of cores for trace gas emissions.
	Presentation at the annual meeting of EPA STAR awardees.

Summer 2006

Field sampling of diked marshes for C sequestration, sediment deposition, C, N and P accumulation, trace gas emissions (diked and undiked marshes).

Fall 2006

	Vegetation sampling (biomass, biodiversity) of diked and undiked marshes.
	Project modeling team meets at Sapelo Island to discuss model refinements and scaling issues.

Winter 2006/2007

	Field research team meets at Athens GA to discuss analysis/results and identify data gaps.
	SLAMM model development for key river-dominated estuaries of the South Atlantic (GA-SC) coast.

Spring 2007

	Submit year 2 annual report to EPA.
	Analysis and synthesis of field data.
	SLAMM model development for estuarine and non-estuarine wetlands of the South Atlantic coast.

Summer 2007

Final SLAMM modeling for entire South Atlantic coast, and GIS-based scaling of ecosystem services.
Fill missing data gaps, data synthesis.
Disseminate research findings at professional and public meetings.
