Project Role: Dr. Craft
is the Principal Investigator for the project. He will oversee
coordination of field sampling, GIS & modeling. He also will be in
charge of the soils & marsh nekton work. The Craft Lab is equipped with
gamma spectrometer for 137Cs and 210Pb analysis,
Perkin-Elmer CHN analyzer, UV/visible & atomic absorption
spectrophotometers and wet lab space for soil digestions. The Craft Lab
also will work to identify and statistically analyze marsh epifauna data
from permanent plots in the ten GCE LTER marshes for years 2000-present.

Project Role: Dr.
Park,
who developed the Sea Level Rise Affects Marshes Model (SLAMM), will
direct model refinements and simulations of changes in marsh area and
type in response to sea level rise scenarios for the three study
watersheds and the Georgia-South Carolina coast.
