Advice for Finding an Academic Job
Assistant Professor of Public Policy and Public The College of Communication Arts and Sciences (CAS) and the James Madison College (JMC) at Michigan State University seek a tenure-track Assistant Professor of Public Policy and Public Information.
The ideal candidate would have a strong academic background in communication and a concentration in public policy, with a particular emphasis on the role of communication in the portrayal, identification, analysis and resolution of public policy problems. He or she would have experience or expertise in government public information, political advocacy, issues management, or government-media relations, with applications in such areas as homeland security, public health, international relations, technology, commerce, or environment.
The position is jointly appointed in CAS (75%) and JMC (25%). Within CAS, the appointment could be in any of three units, depending upon the candidate’s experience and interests: Advertising, Public Relations, and Retailing; Communication; or Journalism.

ANNOUNCEMENT OF POSITION VACANCY Missouri State University
The Department of Political Science invites applications for a tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor rank. Applicant's primary field of expertise should be in not-for-profit management. The secondary field is open, but preference will be given to those candidates whose interests and expertise lie in some combination of the following subfields: public policy, intergovernmental relations, and non-governmental organizations (NGO’s). University at Albany/SUNY Center for Technology in Government Post-Doctoral Research Associate
The Center for Technology in Government is seeking candidates for a Post-Doctoral Research Associate position. The successful candidate will be a member of one or more research teams. Responsibilities include participating in the design and execution of field research and coordination of project activities with other Center work. Assignments will include evaluation of research design alternatives, literature reviews, data collection and analysis, and presentation and reporting of results, plus research management tasks including supervising research assistants, maintaining the integrity of data resources, and liaison with research sponsors and participating agencies.

FACULTY SEARCH The Maxine Goodman Levin College of Urban Affairs at Cleveland State University is seeking a faculty member who will direct the college’s Center for Housing Research and Policy. The Center for Housing Research and Policy has a strong record of research and policy development in the study of critical housing supply and demand issues, inventory and analysis of the region's housing stock and its conditions, and housing directions and trends useful for core city neighborhood and inner-ring suburban revitalization. The new director will continue these research areas and help build the center toward national prominence in research and policy development in one or more of the areas listed in the preferred qualifications below.
