The search function of this site recalls journal abstracts, found within our database, pertaining to child support and child support enforcement-related topics including scanned full-text and government documents. The use of a Boolean search architecture examines the text found in each entry including:

  • Author
  • Title
  • Publisher
  • Source
  • Any text found within abstract
  • This method also enables the researcher to enter special text to modify and narrow search fields such as: AND, OR, AND NOT, and *. For instructions, see below.

 

Search for:

There are several ways to fully utilize the search procedure of the Clearinghouse for child support and related article abstracts. These include: keywords, date, and special text. Each form will narrow your search and aid in the retrieval of useful results

Keyword

Enter Child and all articles with the keyword "Child", including "Child Support", "Child Abuse", and "Child Neglect" will be displayed.

Sample Keywords: child support, child support enforcement, deadbeat dads, obligators, non-custodial parents, non-custodial fathers, fatherhood, teenage fathers, parental involvement, child custody, child visitation, child support awards, paternity.


Date

Enter October 1996 and all articles published in October of 1996 will be displayed.


Special Text

"OR"
Enter Deadbeat OR Welfare and all articles containing either "Deadbeat" or "Welfare" will be displayed

"AND"
Enter Abuse AND Indiana and all articles containing both "Abuse" and "Indiana" will be displayed.

"AND NOT"
Enter Divorce AND NOT Alimony and all articles with the word "Divorce" but not "Alimony" will be displayed.

Asterisk (*)
Enter Child* and all articles with the word "Child", and extensions of the word Child (i.e. "Children", "Childlike", "Childcare" will be displayed.
