Industry And Economic
Growth

David B. Audretsch's newest book, Innovation, Evolution Of Industry And Economic Growth was just published (June 2000 in the United Kingdom, August 2000 in the United States) by Edward Elgar Publishing.  In this wide-ranging collection of significant articles by leading scholars, Audretsch, with co-editor Steven Klepper of Carnegie Mellon University link the impact of innovation to the process by
which firms and industries change over time and ultimately lead to economic development and growth.

This follows his book published in March 2000 (US)/February 2000 (UK), The Economics of Science and Innovation, also published by Edward Elgar Publishing.  Science and innovation plays an increasingly important role in the growth of economies throughout the world. The two volume collection of previously published articles seeks to provide a comprehensive overview of this key area of the global economy.
