September 16, 2003     Update   on the Olympic Issue of the Journal of Productivity Analysis   The Journal of Productivity Analysis is soliciting papers for the Olympic Issue  which will focus on the areas of entrepreneurship, innovation and market dynamics.  The role of this issue is motivated in large part by the excellent papers on this topic presented at the 2nd Hellenic Workshop on Productivity and Efficiency Measurement, Patras, Greece, May 30-June 1, 2003. However, papers for the Olympic Issue will not necessarily come from the papers presented at the workshop. We intend to have this special issue completed by October 2004.   The title of the Olympic Issue will be:   “Entrepreneurship, Innovation, and Market Dynamics”   The Editors for the issue are:   David Audretsch (Director, Institute for Development, Ameritech Chair of Economic Development, and Director, Institute of West European Studies, Indiana University)  Christos J. Pantzios (University of Patras)  Robin Sickles (Rice University and Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Productivity Analysis)   For those interested, the conference website can be found at:    http://hewpem.econ.upatras.gr/   Authors should submit their papers to the Journal of Productivity Analysis following the Journal’s instructions for submission.  The deadline for paper submissions has been extended to December 1, 2003.  Submissions should bear the indication “for the Olympic Issue of the JPA”.
