The Annual Conference on Dispute Resolution in Indiana is sponsored by  the Consortium on Dispute Resolution, which is made up of organizations from across Indiana:

 

Hudson Institute - Hudson Institute is a public policy research organization that implemented the Australian-style family group conference as a diversion program for Marion County Juvenile Court in 1997 as part of the experiment to test the impact of conferences as an alternative response to juvenile offending. This was the first test of the use of conferences in a large urban setting.

Indiana Association of Mediators - IAM is the statewide association of professionals serving the mediation needs of Hoosiers. IAM was established in 1992 as a not-for-profit organization dedicated to the promotion of mediation and the support of professional mediators.  IAM strives to serve the needs of the community and the general public by promoting the use of mediation as an effective alternative to litigation.

Indiana Bar Association’s Section of Dispute Resolution - The Alternative Dispute Resolution Section of the Indiana State Bar Association, which has over 300 members, promotes high standards of professionalism among ADR practitioners, educates the public about ADR, and encourages the wider use of ADR by courts, individuals, and organizations.

Indiana Criminal Justice Institute – Guided by a Board of Trustees representing all components of Indiana's criminal and juvenile justice systems, the Indiana Criminal Justice Institute (ICJI) serves as the state's planning agency for criminal justice, juvenile justice, traffic safety, and victim services. The Institute develops long-range strategies for the effective administration of Indiana's criminal and juvenile justice systems and administers federal and state funds to carry out these strategies.

Indiana Network of Community Mediation – INCOMM was formed in 1995 as a networking organization for those involved in promoting conflict resolution and the search for common ground in their communities. The purpose of INCOMM is to support the maintenance and growth of community-based mediation programs and processes; to present a common voice in appropriate policy making, legislative, professional, and other arenas; and to encourage the development and sharing of resources for these efforts.  Members subscribe to the Association's Preamble, Missions Statement, Organizational Goals and adhere to the Characteristics of Community Mediation Centers outlined by the National Association for Community Mediation.

Keller-Runden Chair in Public Service – The Keller-Runden Chair is Public Service is an academic appointment designed to allow a faculty member from the School of Public and Environmental Affairs to spend a significant portion of his/her time working to develop public service programs, specifically those that involve service learning.  The endowment for the Chair was given by Eloise Beardsley, an IU alumna.  Lisa B. Bingham (from SPEA, IU, Bloomington) holds the current Chair position.  The Keller-Runden Chair is pleased to be an integral sponsor of this conference.

Marion County Prosecutor's Office, Community Prosecution Division's Conflict Resolution Services - The Community Prosecution Division partners with local law enforcement and the community to provide a physical presence in that community.  Conflict Resolution Services provides a needed service in the form of dispute resolution for the community, local law enforcement, and the courts.

Peace Learning Center - Peace Learning Center is a community organization with a solid record of impact and growth. Established in 1997 inside Indianapolis' Eagle Creek Park, PLC’s conflict management and character education programs reach every Indianapolis Public Schools 4th and 6th grade class as well as parochial and township students, summer camps, faith based communities, domestic violence shelters, and juvenile detention facilities. In addition, the center provides help with peer mediation and conflict resolution curriculum for K-12 schools.   Since our beginning, over 60,000 young people, teachers, and parents participated in PLC programs.  Receiving recognition from the community, PLC is the proud recipient of the Sam H. Jones Award for Diversity, Indiana Achievement Award for Innovation, and Spirit of Dr. King Award from the Indianapolis Education Association.

The Indiana University School of Law – Indianapolis - The Law School has been a leader in mediation, education, and training since 1997.  The School offers "Public Policy Mediation" training for lawyers, professionals, and third year law students twice each year. The School is pleased to co-sponsor this major state-wide conference on alternative dispute resolution.

The Indiana University School of Public and Environmental Affairs – Bloomington SPEA is an interdisciplinary school where scientists, lawyers, economists, and political scientists work side-by-side to generate and teach ideas that make a difference.  Their work is local and global in the public, private, and nonprofit sectors.  Their major areas of study include policy, management, finance, and environmental science.
