5th Annual SPEA Young
Researchers Conference
Woven Threads of Knowledge:
Interdisciplinary Strategies for Progress in Public and Environmental
Issues
Saturday, February 5, 2005
Each year, the
Association for SPEA PhD Students sponsors and organizes a conference for
doctoral students to share their research with other students and faculty in
a supportive, academic environment. This is an opportunity for students to
develop their own research and to receive constructive feedback on their
papers.
All PhD students on the IU-Bloomington
campus are welcome to submit abstracts for papers that address issues
directly related to environmental or public concerns. Relevant topics
include such areas as: public policy, e-government, management, social
movements, government finance, development, non-profit organizations, or
environmental policy. Both theoretical and empirical work will be
accepted. Students can submit an individually- or co-authored paper; a
panel consisting of 3-5 papers on a related topic; or a topical
roundtable discussion of 4-5 presenters.
AGAIN THIS YEAR
These awards are in the areas of: environmental science and policy, economic
